Edward Smith-Stanley was born in Middlesex, England.
He was the son of Edward Smith-Stanley, 12th Earl of Derby and the Lady Elizabeth Hamilton.[1] He was born on the 21st of April 1775.[1] He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.[1] He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1795 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).[1][2] He married Charlotte Margaret Hornby, daughter of Reverend Geoffrey Hornby and Lady Lucy Smith-Stanley, on the 30th of June 1798.[1] They were married at Huyton By Roby, Lancashire, England.[3] He died on the 30th of June 1851 at the age of 76,[1] citing Death, Prescot, Lancashire, England.[4][5][6][7]
