It could be a co incidence but I just left a note on Carpenter-4528 when I came across this profile name when pursuing the GFR list. Another known family name from mainly Leicestershire but some in Hampshire England similiar to Keziah (Carpenter) Claflin. This Hannah b bef 1721. No likely link found yet. Both marrying Claflins seems too remarkable a coincidence but it is a common name. There are Claplins in kegworth Leicestershire by early 1800s
