Lived 39y 4m 17d. LDS file has the middle name "Fayette" and the census records are for A. F. Smith, therefore, I believe the several websites that name him "Andrew Lafayette Smith" are in error. Also, the census records sayhewas born in Tennessee, not Limestone, Alabama, unless Limestone was part of Tennessee in the early 1800s. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp

Catharine must have been very pregnant during the 1860 census because son William Cage Smith (My husband's great-grandfather) was born a month later on 25 Aug 1860.
Luker Families records his middle name as Lafayette, but the census data is for A. F. Smith. Also says his cousin was William W. Miller of Limestone, AL who married Cathern's sister, Mary Ann Luker
