Biography

Eliza, born about 1863 in Canada West (Ontario), was the daughter of Frederick John Dignan Smith, a barrister, and his wife Eliza.^[1] She may have been born in the village of Markham, where her father bought a house at 28 Church Street in 1863.^[2]

She married John W. Moyes in 1885.^[3] They had three daughters.^[4]
