Biography

Benjamin was a Friend (Quaker)

Benjamin was born 17d 1m 1772 [17 Jan 1772].[1] He was the son of Humphrey and Silva Smith.[2]

He married Silvia Slocum, daughter of Elihu and Sarah Slocum of Dartmouth, on 18d 11m 1794.[2]

He was received on certificate at the Scipio monthly meeting from the Dartmouth monthly meeting on 18d 7m 1811 [18 Jul 1811].[3] He was accompanied by his wife Silvia, and their children Humphrey, Frederick, Slocum, Hijah, Silvia Howland, and Cornelius.[3]

He died 20d 6m 1831 [20 Jun 1831].[4]
