Biography
On 17 May 1818 Sarah married Isaac Gulley in Newington Bagpath. [1]
The couple baptised a number of children including;
- Sarah 1819 (Newington Bagpath) -Isaac was a Labourer
- William 1823 (Pucklechurch)
- Eliza 1832 Siston
- Caroline 1832 Siston
In 1851 Isaac and Sarah were living in Bitton with William, Eliza and Caroline plus grand daughter Mary Ann Hopes. Isaac was an Agricultural Labourer. [2]
Sarah died aged 75 in 1861. Her death was registered in Keynsham. [3]
Note
There were a number of Sarah Smarts baptised in the area around Sarah's time. She was not the daughter of Moses Smart (abt.1767-1846) as he mentions his daughter Sarah in his Will of 1848.
