Which company are you using for him to take?
I haven't heard of Oliver Sloane and Priscilla West. I am descended from John Sloan, born in County Antrim, Ireland in 1719 who emigrated to Laurens County, South Carolina.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

I see you uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a WikiTree project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? You will find it and WikiTree's other interesting projects by using the FIND link top right of most WikiTree pages, select PROJECTS from the drop down box. WikiTree's DNA project has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
You might also like to read the discussions tagged with DNA in the G2G forum.

I noticed you already uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to instructions on the step-by-step gedcom import at WikiTree , including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our gedom instructions
Please keep in mind that our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile.
If you need help, please contact [email address removed] as she is our gedcom specialist.
If you need any help check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum. You can also watch the introductory WikiTree video that one member created.

I can understand you getting frustrated with the gedcoms, I got a bit like that when I first registered mine was over 2,000 people. There is a way you can split gedcoms to make them smaller but it depends on which sofware you use. The reason you have to through each person on the gedcom is to make sure that there are no other matches that have already been added to wikitree. It's really important for us that there is only one profile per person. I actually ended up adding mine manually. This was better in the long run because I could spend time making the profiles readable and ensure all the sources were correct.

If you meant to Volunteer to help grow this wonderful collaborative Tree, please leave a note to that effect. We would be excited to have you!
If you're just wanting to find out more about your family tree, you don't need to Volunteer. You will find the People Search under 'Find' in the menus, upper right of this page. You can also ask questions in the G2G forum.
Happy Hunting,
