Biography
I have been researching since ~1999, more actively since retiring three years ago. I run a One-Name Study for "Slaven" and associated surnames, and have a surname website at slavens.net. My maternal grandfather was born out of wedlock and his father was unknown to his children and us grandchildren (and perhaps even to Grandpa himself). Thanks to autosomal and Y-DNA testing, the identity of mystery great-grandfather has been proven about as positively as can be, without having the two principals take a standard paternity test. Always happy to collaborate with others.
