Biography
- John & his brother, William, arrived in Virginia in 1617 upon the ship "George".
- John married in 1629 Hampton Slaughter, 2nd wife Unknown.
- The Slaughters were among the early settlers of Virginia. There were two of the name, John and William, in Virginia prior to 1620. His borther, William, was killed in the Great Indian Massacre of March 22, 1622. John had numerous grants of land, by purchase and for the importation of immigrants, between the years of 1620 and 1635.
