Thanks for sharing that. I had not run across the name Borne anywhere. Worth further investigation.

Other than date discrepancies, it appears that Slaughter-760 and Slaughter-2056 are the same John Slaughter.

John Slaughter is mentioned as having purchased land in Nansimond Co. in 1647. https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uiuo.ark:/13960/t6zw2gx2q&view=1up&seq=7&skin=2021 #26, p. 248

Our family's 2004 research has John's 1st wife as Anne UNK, (b. Rappahannock Co, VA - died before 1629). In 1629 he married second wife Margaret UNK, (c.1608 Essex Co, VA - Mar 08, 1654/55, Essex Co, VA). Marriage took place in Jamestown. If Margaret's last name was Upton, perhaps Anne's last name was Hampton.

John's father was Paris Slaughter (c. 1542 Upper Slaughter, Gloucestershire, England - Feb 1597). His mother was Anne Pert (1557 - 1640) daughter of Daniel Pert and Anne Chambers.

I know this is an old comment about John's wives but I found one listing on Geneanet listing John as a Duke (dob, birth places matching) married to a "Lady" Ann Borne Slaughter but have not been able to confirm. (dob: 1607, UK; 1643 death in Rappahannock, Virginia, USA)
