Biography

The daughter of Anko Slachter and Alice (Yonkman) Slachter, Angeline was born in Lucas, Michigan in 1923.^[1][2] She married Clifford Quist (1929-1988) in California after the war -- Clifford served in the United States Navy -- on August 22, 1944.^[3] The couple had four children together, Kenneth, Karen, Virginia, and Lois. She passed away at the age of 89 and is buried at Lake City Cemetery in Lake City, Michigan.^[4]

Research Notes

Her FindAGrave memorial lists her date of birth as May 1923, however, her older brother was born in February 1923. The 1930 census lists her age as 6, so the birth date is most likely in 1924. I've left 1923 so as to not create a FindAGrave date conflict in the database. The last name is spelled different in source documents, so the spelling hasn't been verified.
