Hello Kathleen,

Thanks for your interest in the 'Simpson' One-name study; by adding the 'category' -

{{<remove space>One Name Study|name=Simpson <remove space>}} results will be added to the Category page of SIMPSONs that hopefully will show the distinct lines, and/or migrations.

Thanks for helping to make Wikitree, the best tree possible.

Debra

Hi again, Thanks for adding the additional information about your family's DNA tests! If you also change their privacy levels from 'private' to 'private with public family tree' it will allow all of the DNA test information to be available to your potential matches. Kay

Hi Kathleen, It's great to see your interest in DNA! Please add your GedMatch ID information on your WikiTree DNA test page, and also information about your brother's and sister's tests on their WikiTree DNA test pages. Kay Wilson

Hi!

Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi!

How are you? I'm Guy, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Guy ~ WikiTree Mentor

P.P.S. I've found the best way to research my family in WikiTree is to post what I know and connect to existing profiles when I find them. That way, you can ask questions in G2G from the profile you're stuck on & folks will know what you have already.

P.S. I notice you have a GEDCOM badge. WikiTree Help pages give lots of information about the process; a good starting place is Before you import a GEDCOM. And here's a link to great instructions on adding a GEDCOM to WikiTree that you might find helpful. Cheers, Liz

Hi again!

I’m glad you found us. I just confirmed you as a member (once you sign the Honor Code, you’ll be a full member – aka a Wiki Genealogist). An important aspect of WikiTree is providing sources for information (even if it’s just "Aunt Louisa told me in 1984...") – my profile page has a link to Sources Resources, where I’ve tried to provide an overview of source information.

Give G2G or me a holler if you get stuck on anything, and thank you for joining our collaborative tree. Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Enjoy!

Greetings all! I don't have much personal knowledge of either side of my family as I met very few of them. I am excited to be a member of Wiki Tree and hope to make new connections here. I welcome all to help and comment on anything you see in my tree, maybe I can help someone too.
