Christopher J. (Chris) Simon was a professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League with the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, and Minnesota Wild. In 2017, Simon filed for bankruptcy, and a doctor testified that Simon had symptoms of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).[1] Chris died by suicide at the age of 52.[2]
