Please correct last name at birth, which would have been Simon'. His baptism is missing, but a single sibling received the name Lapointe only, the rest are all named Simon. And it's Lapointe, not LaPointe, no caps in the middle please, not at all a French usage that.

Simon-7330 and De LaPointe-6 appear to represent the same person because: Sorry, I didn't find him when I created my profile, because the birth year was too far apart. According to PRDH, he was born in 1672. I did find him when I went to add his spouses.

Although I don't have access to any source which shows he died 11/07/1751, it seems reasonable.

Could one of the managers please change the LNAB to Simon as discussed in 29 Jun 2016 posting by me?

De La Pointe-5 and De La Pointe-1 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same named spouse (merge proposed), similar dates of birth and death and similar locations. Neither profile has sources for these dates so please do NOT reject merge based on this... instead mention discrepancy in bio.

Prior to merge it is highly recommended that De La Pointe-1 change the surname to Simon with La Pointe under nickname, other surname or current surname, but not LNAB. See De La Pointe-1 comments for discussion regarding this. If Managers of De La Pointe-1 refuse to change surname, then manager of De La Pointe-5 can do so and then merge should be reversed so that it merges into the profile with the surname of Simon.

Simon de LaPointe-1 and De La Pointe-1 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicte- with surname variation

David, La Pointe is his "dit" name and therefore does not belong as his LNAB. Simon should be used. You can then include La Pointe under nickname, other surname or current surname, but not LNAB. See http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Name_Fields#Last_Name_at_Birth. Also you can see that it is indeed a dit name at this intresting source: http://blog.gulflive.com/mississippi-press-living/2010/01/lapointe-krebs_house_in_pascagoula_oldest_spanish_colonial_structure_on_entire_gulf_of_mexico.html
