Fridolin "Fred" Simon was born on September 22, 1850 in Switzerland to Jacob Simon and Magdalena Luchsinger.

He immigrated to the United States with his family in about 1851.

He (age 26) married Pauline Knauer (age 16) on 21 August 1877 in Saint Clair Township, St. Clair, Illinois, United States.[1]

Fred died (age 75) on 28 March 1926 in Collinsville, Madison, Illinois, United States[2] and was buried in Collinsville, Madison, Illinois, United States.[3]
