Robert Simon Rites Set for Friday

Robert E. Simon, 31, son of financier Norton Simon, shot himself fatally in the chest at his home, 2430 N. Vermont Ave., coroner's deputies reported.

The younger Simon, who had been in ill health and under a physician's care for several months, leaves his wife, Sylvia, and a brother, Donald E. Simon of Paris, in addition to his parents and grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Simon.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Hollywood Cemetery Chapel. Arrangements are being handles by Malinow and Silverman Mortuary.
