Florence was born in 1862. She was the daughter of James Simmons and Jane Andrews.

She married Alfred John Drew (1858–1935). They had the following children:

Gertrude May (1894–1981)

Francis Everett (1896–1980)

Myrtle Janette (1898–1898)

Lenora Evelyn (1899–1994)

Ruth Lillian (1900–1970)

Edna Esther (1902–1960)

She passed away in 1919. Buried at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
