Beatrice was born about 1882[1], the daughter of Charles Henry Simmonds and his first wife Dorothy Limb.
In March 1903 at St Andrew, Walkerville, Beatrice married George Albert Till[1]. Unfortunately George passed away during service in World War I.
She married secondly in 1920, Sydney James (Jim) Fulton[2]. She had two daughters with George Till and two sons and a daughter with Jim.
Beatrice passed away in November 1947 at Semaphore, South Australia[3][4] and was buried on the 18 November at the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide.[5][6]
Research Notes
- Beatrice's birth does not appear to have been registered, however there is evidence to believe that she was the daughter of a local Charles Henry Simmonds and his first wife Dorothy Limb.[7] The following entry appears with the family notices for her first husband George Till in the "Heroes of the Great War" segment of the Chronicle (Adelaide) November 27 1920 p11: "TILL - In memory of Private GA Till, who died at Fremantle, November 20, 1917.[verse]- Inserted by CH and A Simmonds." 'CH and A Simmonds' would be her father Charles Henry and his second wife Alice Stokes[8].
- Beatrice's birth year is given as 1878 at her death but 1882 at her first marriage.
