Biography

Esther was born in 1891 in California, United States. She was the only child of Charles Smead Silsby, a Rail Road Engineer, and Hattie Seymore Morrison.

In 1900, according to the United States Census, Esther was living with her parents in Mott and Squaw Valley Townships, Siskiyou, California, United States. ^[1]

In 1910, when she was 18, she was living with her parents in Ashland, Jackson, Oregon, United States. ^[2]

She married Perry Lorin Ashcraft on 20 August 1912 Jackson, Oregon, United States (needs source) and they had at least two children together. They may have divorced, as she remarried in 1924

On 1 Sep 1924 she married Carlyle Abraham Kallman at the Kitsilano Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. ^[3]

Her husband Carlyle passed away in 1962 ^[4]

She married Harry Alfred Elder who became a widow in 1963. Sadly, Harry passed away in 1965, leaving her a widow again.

Esther passed away on 28 Sep 1971 in Hialeah, Miami-Dade, Florida, United States at the age of 80 years. (requires source)
