Regiment(s): Co. H, 105th Regiment, Ohio Infantry
Enlisted into Company H of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry on August 6, 1862 at age 22 as Private. He was captured in the forage train incident on January 21, 1863 near Murfreesboro, Tennessee and later paroled.
