Biography

Dale Darvin Shuffler was the son of Frank Benjamin Shuffler (1888–1919) and Virginia "Virgie" Ballard (1889–1977), born on 15 Sep 1913 in Pacific Junction, Mills, Iowa. Dale and his three brothers grew up in Plattville. After his father's death, the family moved to Council Bluffs. Dale resided in the Children of Iowa I.O.O.F. Orphans Home in 1925.[1][2][3][4]

His mother remarried and moved with her new husband to Cambridge, Dorchester County, Maryland. Dale went with them and resided there in 1930.[5]

Dale married Frances C Walter (1913–1976) in the late 1930s, and they moved to Capeville, Northampton County, Virginia, where they had a son, and Dale worked as a butcher for the A&P store.[6][7]

Frances died on 17 Dec 1976 and was buried in Dorchester Memorial Park in Cambridge, Dorchester County, Maryland. Dale died on 24 Mar 1987 and was buried there next to her.[8][9]
