Robert was born in 1861. He was the son of Robert Short and Phoebe Coffelt.
He was a horse and cattle dealer who lived in Oregon.
He passed away from paralysis in 1912 in Nevada, Missouri. He is buried at Deepwood Cemetery in Nevada, Missouri.
