Biography
Alexander was born in 1853. He was the son of Valentine Shirley and Ann Orr.
He married 28 March 1881 at Quincy, Mass., Nancy McAllister. She was born 25 Mar 1856 in Ireland, died 27 Sep 1949 and is buried at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, Norfolk Co., Mass.
They had 5 children, including Margaret Knox Shirley.
He died in 1923 at Quincy, Mass.
