Jessie Shimel was born on November 22, 1917 in Mansfield, Missouri to Willis Shimel and Americas McClanahan. He died on December 24, 1918 in Wright County, Missouri due to complications from influenza.[1]
He is buried in the Nancy Newton Cemetery in Wright County.[2]
