Biography

Meda Ann Carvell of Lakeville NB passed away on Friday, December 11th at the Carleton Manor in Woodstock NB, absent from this world and now present with her Lord. She was born January 07, 1937 to the late Dorothy and Harry Sherwood. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Mona Briggs-Dickinson, Lois Culberson, Greta Everett, brothers Mac Sherwood, Alvah Sherwood, and Henry Sherwood.

Meda is survived by her husband of 65 years Richard Carvell, sister Una Purinton (Vear), sons Steven (Claudette), Hal (Carlene), Frank (Tammy), Mark (Kim); grandchildren, Robert Carvell, Matthew Carvell, Pamela Underhill (Jeremy), Nancy Carvell, Alicia Carvell, Lyndsey Kim (Sam), Morgan Sparks (Brandon), Hannah Callaghan (Wayne). Great grandchildren, Cayden and Jaxon Carvell, Austin, Elliott and Lillian Underhill, Paisley Callaghan, and Aiden Kim. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Raised on a farm in Jacksontown NB, she moved to Lakeville with Richard to raise a family of 4 boys. She was active in the Lakeville United Baptist church where she was a pianist for several years. She loved having her family together for meals, gardening and hitting the road with Richard in later years being a regular at Grama’s Restaurant and the Tim’s locations throughout the county.

Thank you to the staff at Carleton Manor, Mountainside Lodge and Upper River Valley Hospital for their care these past days and weeks, also to the special Deal Road neighbours who watched out for them in their later years.

A private Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 15,2020 at the Carleton Funeral Home with all covid rules in place. Interment will be in the Lakeville Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy , donations to the , Lakeville Community Cemetery or Camp Shikithawk would be appreciated.
