Biography

William Edward Sherman was born at Tower Hill, New Brunswick, 1889, the son of Edward Franklin and Alberta (Linton) Sherman; [1] [2] [3] died, 1921, and is buried in the Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Maine. [4]

He married at Saint Stephen, 13 Sep 1919, Bertha Ellen Bailey, born at Princeton, Maine, 1 Aug 1900, the daughter of Oscar Lee Bailey and Christie A. Neddeau; died at Lebanon Springs, New York, 29 Mar 1975, and is buried in the Princeton Cemetery. [5]

She married (2) at Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, 11 Nov 1922, George William Monk, [6] born Walter Wentworth, Jr. at North Baileyville, Maine, 15 Aug 1898, the son of Walter M. Wentworth and Helen Sarah Monk. [7] He was adopted by his maternal grandparents and his name changed to George William Monk; [8] [9] died at New Britain, Connecticut, 9 Mar 1965, and is buried in the Princeton Cemetery. [10]

After George's death, Bertha married (3) John Conklin, born at Stephentown, New York, 25 Apr 1900; died at Lebanon Springs, New York, Jul 1978. [11]
