Biography
- Samuel SHELTON II was born [1] 24 Aug 1738 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut. He is the son of Samuel Shelton and Abigail Nichols.
In 1795, he received a distribution from his mother's estate.[2]
His will is dated 5 January 1810 with a codicil dated 3 November 1814 in Huntington and recorded in Stratford on 26 April 1820. He mentions his wife Tabitha, his daughters, Hannah Smith, Abbe Burr, Tabitha Walker, and Nancy, now wife of Elnathan Lindsley (in codicil), and his son Zechariah Shelton, Eli Shelton, Silas Shelton, and Samuel Shelton. His inventory was completed on 7 April 1820.[3]
