Stanley Shaw was born in Victoria, Australia

Stanley James "Trevor" Shaw was born 7th July 1924 at South Yarra, Victoria, Australia, the son of Stanley James Shaw and Eiline Jean Legge (mother is uncertain). ^[1][2]

Australian Army Service (1940-1942). On 7th December 1940, at Sale, Victoria, he enlisted as Trevor Stanley James Shaw, born 7th July 1922 at Melbourne, Victoria (aged 18 years 5 months). He gave his next-of-kin as Stanley James Shaw of Netherlands, Sale, Victoria. He was a Butcher and signed the Oath of Enlistment as Trevor S. Shaw. His father's address was later changed to 121 Balwyn Road, Balwyn. Trevor was assigned to the 13 Light Horse Regt. Trooper Shaw was discharged from 13th Aust Armd Rgt on 15th August 1942 on enlistment in the Royal Australian Navy.^[3]
