Biography

Alice Frances Jane Shaw (married name Vinecombe) was born in 1862 in Avoca, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Jane Copeland (Webb) Shaw and Thomas Henry Shaw.[1]

She married John Vinecombe in 1879 at Stuart Mill in the Victorian Colony.[2]

They would go on to have at least 10 children between 1880 and 1908, including the following:

Alice Frances Jane Vinecombe passed away in 1932 in the Moulamein District of New South Wales.[3][4] Some records suggest this could be Barham, such as this death notice in the The Independent (Deniliquin, NSW : 1901 - 1946) of Friday 30 September 1932:

The death occurred at Barham recently of Mrs Alice Frances Vinecombe, aged 70 years; following an illness extending over one month. Deceased, who was predeceased by her husband three years, is survived by a grown-up family of five sons and five daughters. Mrs J. H. Murrells, of Deniliquin, is a daughter.
