At Clochar na Trócaire, Béal Átha na mBuillí (the Convent of Mercy secondary school in Strokestown), Delia collected six stories which have been archived by dúchas.ie, and can be found here.
She captured the stories from her father, Edward Shaughnessy, a neighbor, Martin Flanagan, and her uncle, Thomas Corcoran. After their mother's death, Delia and her sister Eileen were raised by the Corcorans in Leitrim, County Roscommon.
Delia married Peter Brennan in 1946. She was memorialized in the Ballinderry New Cemetery.
