Sarah E. Sharp was my maternal great grandmother. She died seventeen years before my birth about twenty five mile from my place of birth. Her son, Tom Parton, was my grandfather and he adored his mother. Rumors surrounded her that she had native American ancestry. But DNA proves there is none. Research proved that her Sharp lineage is dominantly of German descent.
