Timothy Sexton Sr. (1750-1832) served from NJ in the Revolutionary war. He had a son Timothy Sexton Jr, (1783-1850) who had a son Robert (Robbin) Sexton (1809-1889) who had a son Emmanuel Sexton(1835-1911) who had a son Talmon Sexton (1861-1943) who had a son, Arthur Sexton, (1888-1962) who had a son, my dad, William Arthur Sexton (1917-2009). Am interested in tracking and confirming this, and also if John Sexton, 1734-1799, was the original Sexton here in the United States, and if so from where did he immigrate. My father William was born in Oneida, TN; Scott County. My parents lived their lives in Ohio and had 9 of us children. Dad always said we were Scots Irish, much like much of west NC and east TN. My grandfather, Arthur, is listed in Talmon's obituary along with his 6 siblings.
