Marion[1] Seton was the daughter of George Seton, 3rd Lord Seton and Lady Janet Hepburn.[2][3]
She married, firstly, Thomas Borthwick, Master of Borthwick, son of William Borthwick, 4th Lord Borthwick and Margaret Hay.[2][3]
She married, secondly, Hugh Montgomerie, 2nd Earl of Eglinton, son of John Montgomerie, Master of Eglinton and Elizabeth Edmonstone, from 30 January 1530/31 to 8 February 1530/31.[2][3]
She married, thirdly, before 24 March 1552/3 Alexander Graham of Wallastoun[2][4], son of William Graham, 2nd Earl of Montrose and Lady Janet Keith.[5]
Her married name became Graham.[5] Her married name became Borthwick.[3] Her marriage to Thomas Borthwick, Master of Borthwick was annulled from 15 December 1530 to February 1530/31 by the Pope, on account of consanguinity.[3],[6] From from 30 January 1530/31 to 8 February 1530/31, her married name became Montgomerie.[3]
As a result of her marriage, Mariot Seton was styled as Countess of Eglinton in June 1545.
