Biography

La Rue was the first child of John Clement Seibert and Susan Catherine Staninger to be born in California. His older siblings were born in Illinois.

His father was a streetcar motorman.

Larue was age 7 in 1900. The family was living at 2310 Enterprise St., south of downtown Los Angeles. His father John C Seibert was age 41 b Illinois. His mother Susan C. was age 35 b Illinois. Sister Zilla was age 11 b Ill. Earl was age 9 b Ill. Larue was age 7 b Calif. Glenn was age 5 b Calif.^[1]

The family was living at the same address in 1910. Larue had a younger brother, Floyd, age 9.^[2]

La Rue married Eunice A Phillips 19 Jun 1918 in Los Angeles.^[3]His occupation at that time was moulder.

He was living in Los Angeles in 1920 with wife Eunice and infant daughter Ruby. He was a molder in a foundry. They were living at 480 Beaudry Ave. This is near the present-day interchange of the Harbor and Hollywood Freeways near downtown.^[4]

In 1930 he and Eunice were the parents of daughters Ruby J, age 10 and Phyllis S., age 8. Larue was a foreman in an iron foundry. The address was 6050 Madden Ave in the Inglewood area.^[5]

Larue, Eunice and daughter Phyllis in 1940 were living at 624 W. 106th St. in Los Angeles. This is southeast of their residence in 1930. Larue was a foundry foreman, age 47, b. California.^[6]

He died of a coronary occlusion at age 50.^[7] He was buried in Inglewood Cemetery.
