Christiane Sophie Sehested-Iversnæs (born 3 June 1644 , died December 1693 ) was a Danish countess, married to lens grave Wilhelm Frederik Wedell (1640 -1706). [1]

She was the daughter of the national tax minister Hannibal Sehested and wife Christiane Sehested , and thus granddaughter of King Christian IV . At the death of her father in 1666 she took over the farm Iversnæs (later Wedellsborg) in Funen, which she passed through marriage in the following year to Wilhelm Friedrich Wedell. In 1672 the husband became exalted in the Danish counties, after which he established the counties Wedellsborg of Iversnæs and Tybrind. [2] She had several children with Wedell, including:

Hannibal Wedell Wedelsborg (1660-1708) Jürgen Ernst Wedell-Wedellsborg (-1712) Anna Margarethe Cathrine Wedell-Wedellsborg (-1719) Carl Ludwig Wedell-Wedellsborg (1683-1724) Christiane Sophie is buried in Husby church in Funen. [3]
