Married to Sarah Bird; 28 Dec 1793, Greene, Tennessee, USA.

Listed on Greene County, TN tax list in 1798 were the Taxables of Captain James Penny's Company for the year 1798: John Seain (Seaton) owning 100 acres in the Horse Creek area and Benjamin Seain (Benjamin Seaton) owning 57 acres, situation of each tract in Horse Creek; white polls 1; squirrel scalps 25. The John Seain (Seaton) was probably a brother of Benjamin. Also in Captain Penny's Company was John Bird, owning 125 acres, and Conrad Barnhart, owning 200 acres. Moved to Indiana after marriage.
