Biography

Margaret was born in 1930. She was the daughter of Franklin Scott and Marguerite Kutz.

Graduate of Hibbing Junior College and the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. Medical Technologist at the Children's Hospital, Denver.

Married George Barton. The marriage on May 7, 1957 took place at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing, Minnesota. The bride was given in marriage by her godfather, Charles Bardessono. Mrs. Marjorie Bertagnolli, sister of the bridegroom, attended as the matron of honor. Robert D. Scott, brother of the bride, served as best man. They had five children: James, Michael, Kathy, Patricia and Elizabeth.

One of four founders of the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies. Active in several genealogical organizations. Volunteer in the Western History/Genealogy Department of the Denver Public Library.

She passed away in 2003.
