Miss Schoonover expected to go from Chicago to Texas via plane but due to transportation priorities her plans were changed in Chicago and she had to take the train, although plane transportation had already been arranged for. She was scheduled for an interview in Texas yesterday morning. Preliminary pilot training was gained at the Dansville airport. About two years ago a ground aviation course was given at Dansville high school, and Miss Schoonover availed herself of the opportunity to take this course. At its inception she won the only scholarship given to girls and thus was entitled to receive free lessons in flying. A concluding require that the student should make a solo flight of some distance. Miss Schoonover made the flight from Dansville to Buffalo to Rochester to Dansville, and received her pilot's license. She is 26 years old. "
