Biography

Dorothea (Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg) von Brandenburg is a member of the House of Hohenzollern.

Dorothea Sophie von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Electress of Brandenburg, was born on September 28, 1636. She was the daughter of Philipp, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, and Sophie Hedwig von Sachsen-Lauenburg. She died on August 6, 1689.

On October 9, 1653, Dorothea married Christian Ludwig, Duke of Braunschweig-Lüneburg. They had no children and on March 15, 1665 her husband died.

On June 14, 1668 Dorothea married Friedrich Wilhelm, Elector of Brandenburg and Duke of Prussia. They had 7 children:
