We only can assume that the "2 children" were born after the marriage of their parents: Oct 1876 and the before the death of their father at such a young age, July 3 1880.

Henry's obituary states,
"...........to learn that Henry Schlapp is lying very low at his residence on Wasoola street. Since his present sickness his two children have died. His afflicted and devoted wife has the hearty sympathy of the craft."
