Elisabetha (Schaad) Ehrmann is of Swiss descent

Elisabetha Schaad was born on July 24, 1814.[1] She was baptized on July 31, 1814 in Oberhallau, Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the daughter of Michael Schaad and Barbara Mueller. There are many Schaads registered in Oberhallau, and the old Swiss German handwriting can be difficult to decipher. However, it is certain that her parents names are correct, due to their names in a later marriage register. Elisabetha Schaad Baptismal Record

A kind priest with legible handwriting copied Elisabetha Schaad's baptism into a ledger, which includes natural birth date, baptism date, marriage date and parents' names.[2] Our Elisabetha Schaad was the daughter of Michael Schaad and Barbara Mueller of Oberhallau, Switzerland. This ledger is helpful because there were several Schaad families in Oberhallau at that time.
