Maria Catharina Elisabeth Schöler was born on or a few days before 22 March 1770 in Vollerbenhof Schöler, Pye, Wallenhorst, Iburg, Osnabrück, Heiliges Römisches Reich, daughter of Joannes Bernardus Schöler (~1742–1788) and Catharina Angela Borgman ( –1797).^[1] She was baptised in the catholic church St. Alexander in Wallenhorst on 22 March 1770.^[1] Her godmother was Maria Elisabeth Schöler and her baptismal witnesses were Caspar to Piehe and Marg.
