The biography for Ellen Sayers is empty. What can you add? I was born in Queens, New York and moved to Lyndhurst, New Jersey when I was about 4 years old. I graduated from Lyndhurst High School and then attended Rutgers University - Newark, NJ. Graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts and Television. I moved to Denville, NJ in 1987 with my mother and 2 brothers after my parents' divorce. I met my future husband in 1991 and we married in 1997. We moved to Parsippany, NJ after we married and have been there ever since. We have 2 children.
I love reading murder mysteries, watching old movies and of course genealogy. My mother got me hooked at a young age, we collaborated while she was still alive and now I still carry on. I have traced my direct Sayers line back to the 1700's in the US. There are a few patriots in my line and I'm working on my DAR application through my Hathaway line.
My mother was 1st generation born in the US. Her paternal side is from Liverpool, England and her maternal side from Glasgow, Scotland. I still have family there who are also interested in family history.
Other lines I'm interested in are Craddock, Farrell, Sturgeon, Chambers, Foster, Hochwald, Stuhler, Romeike, Pitsch, Ewart, Marshall, Mowat. My husband's family names are Lanza, Buttaci, Young, Flynn, McManus, VanKirk, Pitonzo.
I've been working at Benjamin Moore & Co since 2003.
