Edward Sayer (not Sayers) was the son of William W. Sayer Jr. and Elizabeth Johnson. He married Mary C. Sayer (not Sayers) daughter of Thomas David Sayer and Mary Ann Quadlin. Mary and Edward were second cousins. Their common ancestor was James Sayer who sons William and Robert came from England. William in 27 Feb 1824 on the ship Mary Ann Skeafs.
