Biography

Orin Satterlee was born on the 16th of August 1827 and passed away in 13 Aug 1914.

The 1850 U.S. Census recorded Orrin Satterly, age 23 and a farmer, and Mary J. Satterly, age 17, in Wauponsee, Grundy County, Illinois. Both were born in New York. Orrin reported $240 in real estate. Prior entries on the census sheets are for the households of 56-year-old Aaron Satterly and Aaron's wife Mary Satterly, age 45, with William Satterly, age 27, Mary E. Satterly, age 14, Aaron Satterly, 11, and Leonard Satterly, 7; and Amos and Betsey Satterly, ages 25 and 14, respectively, all born in New York. ^[1]
