Terry Sater is currently researching his lineage to John Howland of the Mayflower as well as the Fullers. He is definitely a child of America’s Heartland. He was born in Minnesota, raised in Wisconsin, and educated in the Twin Cities! He is now retired from his nearly 40 years as television journalist.
An admitted “news geek” since elementary school, Terry’s main focus as a TV journalist is to help people. He’s interviewed George W. Bush, families of fallen military service members, even the bombardier who dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima during World War II. He reported "live" from Europe on the release of American hostage Terry Anderson.
When not pouring his heart into his storytelling, he enjoys taking in the sights and SOUNDS of Wisconsin. A true lover of the arts, Terry is an ASCAP songwriter who plays guitar and mandolin! Obviously, Summerfest is one of his favorite hangouts!
Terry is a father of three daughters. In 2011, after a difficult battle, Terry lost his wife Lynne to cancer. Her passing has inspired him to help cancer and grief organizations further their missions.
