Hello Mark,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The Massachusetts Project may fit your current research focus, but there's also the Puritan Great Migration group. If neither of these catches your eye, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

 :)

Hi Mark ,

I believe that I am also linked to James Chilton from the Mayflower. Still working on the documentation of that relationship via his daughter Isabell,

Hi Karen,

I am new to this site. I am mainly interested in the Mayflower project. I have my tree on Ancestry and its private. Is there a way to upload the tree for comparison purposes? Also can I upload my DNA and be compared to other Mayflower descendants?

Hello Mark,

I see you have uploaded a Gedcom and added your DNA numbers to Wikitree. I don't know if you have looked at the information about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree, but the link Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more.

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

I hope this helps. If you have more questions on these, I can have other members help you who are more experienced in these areas.
