Neile was born in 1932. During the Japanese army's occupation of Manila during World War II between 1942 and 1945 when she was a pre-teenager, she served as a spy for the Philippine resistance and carried messages between the guerrilla groups.
In 1948, she moved to the United States and became a dancer. She later acted on Broadway including in Kismet and The Pajama Game. She appeared on television variety shows, in drama roles, and in various television series.
She married actor Steve McQueen. [1]
