Biography
Thomas Saltmarsh was born on 10 December 1824 in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia,[1] the son of William Butler Saltmarsh and Elizabeth Stevens.[1]
He married Sarah Hodgetts on 21 September 1847 at Christ Church, Longford, Tasmania.[1] Their children were:[1]
- Amelia Saltmarsh (1848–1935)
- Martha Saltmarsh (1849–1922)
- Emily Jane Saltmarsh (1850–1935)
- Ronald Richard Saltmarsh (1851–1903)
- Henry William Saltmarsh (1854–1910)
- Ivey Thomasina Florence Saltmarsh (1858–1940)
Thomas died on 13 December 1871 in Longford.[1]
