Lois Marie Ayer, 72, of Newark Valley, died Friday, January 25, 2002, at her winter residence in Eustis, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Warren J. Ayer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Warren J. Jr. and Linda Ayer, Colechester, Vermont, Dean J. and Lisa Ayer, Pfafftown, North Carolina; four brothers, Samuel Sackett, Apalachin, Harold Sackett, Owego, Edwin Sackett, Endicott, Lester Sackett, Newark Valley; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Lois was a retired administrative assistant with I.B.M., a member of the Union Center United Methodist Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the United States Power Squadron.
