Sir John Russell,[1] 1st Earl of Bedford, Lord Russell, Lord High Admiral was born circa 1485 at Kingston Russell, Dorsetshire, England.1 He married Anne Sapcote, daughter of Sir Guy Sapcote and Margaret Wolston, circa May 1526.[2] Sir John Russell, 1st Earl of Bedford, Lord Russell, Lord High Admiral died on 14 March 1555 at Russell House, Strand, Middlesex, England.[3]
